I found a beautiful, discount jewelry box on the Internet!

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

Finding everything I needed for my wedding ceremony and reception was a lot of work, but went I went to pick out a gift for I bridesmaids, I realized that the other things had only been half of the battle. I just couldn’t seem to come across anything that they would really appreciate. A number of favors for reception guests and people who stand up in your wedding are out there on the web. But the hard part was picking out which was the best to buy. There were also a lot of great deals on thank you gifts that I found at a discount. I also saved a lot of money on my wedding accessories, like the 8 piece wedding set that had my guestbook and pen, flower basket, ring pillow and more. I spent a whole lot less than I expected on that. Instead of having to buy each piece separately, I was able to purchase it all together at a great low price.
While looking for the thank you gifts for my bridesmaids, I found a very lovely jewelry box I thought they all might like to have. Really, there were multiple wedding jewelry boxes that were very fancy. My head was swirling from all of the options out there for thank you presents, and I had to just go work on some other part of the wedding to get my focus back. I had some shopping to do yet for the reception; the ceremony was pretty well set. One thing that was on my plate, so to speak, was finding a wedding cake topper, and another was picking out wedding gifts for my friends and relatives, so I paid attention to those two next. Bottle openers made of chrome in the form of birds of peace and salt and pepper shakers that looked like a couple on their wedding day were what I went with. The package that the dove bottle openers came in was so pretty that I just used that and didn’t even get any special boxes. My fiance got his groomsmen a nice little stainless steel flask and a multi tool gadget that has just about everything from a pair of pliers to a bottle opener.
We got a cake topper of pair of newly weds locked in a loving embrace. I looked at several different styles, and almost bought the monogram cake topper with silver brushed initials and crystals, but I fell for the embracing couple instead. With all of the rest of it out of the way, it was time to make the call on a present for my bridemaids. They each got girls jewelry boxes, and inside of it was some unique wedding jewelry. I chose a beautiful rhinestone bracelet for all of them. It wasn’t over-the-top, even though it might seem that way. I kept some money in my pocket by getting discount wedding jewelry that was very pretty, and there was much selection. In fact I bought my pearl wedding jewelry to go with my wedding gown there too. There are some really exquisite pieces to choose from, and less costly than you may imagine. The girls really loved their thank you gifts and I guess the guys were happy with what my fiance chose for them too.
It turned out to be the best day of my life and we all had such a great time at the reception. My single sister caught the bouquet and my brother in law was the winner at the garter toss. Is it just coincidence, or is it fate? If anything came of it and my sister and his brother end up married, that means my sister would also be my sister in law. Anything is possible!

Awesome Baby Shower Gifts…

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

The choices that are out there for hosting a baby shower are many and varied, and it’s only getting more and more so as showers become more popular and larger. Baby showers are the most fun to attend because of all the very cute gifts invitees bring. As for baby shower gift ideas, there is no shortage of them if you’re looking at putting on a shower. The internet is filled with lovely little baby gifts and suggestions for those that are planning a baby shower. You’ll find all kinds of decorations and baby favors to work with to make your baby shower a very special celebration. Things like shower gifts, place card holders, and everything in between is out there.
Is a baby boy shower gift more your style? If the nursery hasn’t been fully decorated yet, some great ideas would be growth charts with little cartoon animals on it or perhaps a night-light to little teddy bear photo albums. Other creative baby shower gifts include such things as a diaper cake, which you make yourself by arranging diapers in layers like a cake and adding baby supplies, like pacifiers, little toys, or maybe even bath time supplies. This festive-looking cake can have almost anything for an infant added to it. One great thing to do for the woman who’s about to be a mom is to get her some personalized baby shower gifts. I’ve always felt that you can’t go wrong with a small box for the newborn’s first tooth and another one for his or her first curl. The boxes come plated with silver, and they are a wonderful thing for the mother to treasure. Many have a lining inside, usually pink for girls and blue for boys. That’s something special to hang on to, just like their little footprints and handprints. It’s not just presents like playpens and cribs that will be well-taken; also some of the small gifts can be the best received of all. You can insist on getting a good present and still find plenty cheap baby shower gifts to choose from. These are things that every new mother can never really have enough of. A lot of guests choose to buy baby clothes such as socks, shoes, dresses, etc. instead of going the more expensive route with cribs, strollers, or car seats. One thing’s for sure: the new mom can use all of them.
A bag for carrying diapers or diapers themselves are not only among the best baby shower gifts, they are also the most practical. There is a treasure trove of options out there on the world wide web if you’re looking to get a present for a woman who’s about to have a baby. If you are giving the baby shower, remember the little gifts for the guests to take home with them. You could get scrapbooks or small picture frames for your baby shower party gifts. Something a bit tastier would be candies or chocolates inside a pretty box with a ribbon. You have a lot of ideas to pick from when you’re getting a gift for your baby shower guests. Having contests is a fun thing to do at a baby shower, and you can get candles or soaps with baby designs on them to give away as awards for winning, and you can also use some of them for thank you gifts.
Whether you are the hostess of the baby shower or you are a guest, you have many great little baby shower gifts to choose from online. Not only did I get some awesome baby shower favors on the net, but that’s also where I bought the majority of the things that I needed for my wedding ceremony and reception. No matter what the event, and no matter what your taste in presents, you will be able to find something you’ll like on the net.

Coolest Wedding Books!

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

There are so many events in your life that you want to hold on to, that you can look back on later in life with fond memories. If only the bridal or baby showers that family and friends gave you , or your wedding day could go on forever. I have discount memory books that I really cherish to help my relive those special days over and over again. The photo wedding book of my wedding shower that my sister and my loved ones put on for me contains wonderful moments in it. It was a fantastic night, and there are plenty of photographs to prove it. I have shots of all the crazy stuff we got into that night, along with some of how gorgeous-looking the décor of the party was. The camera doesn’t lie: we had a blast. I’ve even got a couple pictures of the male dancers we went to see. They were really awesome up there on the stage. I won’t soon forget my only night watching men dance like that. They may not be as famous as the Chippendale dancers, but these were more than entertaining, that’s for sure.
One of the things I picked out when I was buying things for our wedding was a memory book. I’m glad I got one with as many pages as I did. In fact I knew to buy a couple of them, so I’d have enough space for all the pictures. Even after filling our wedding photo album with pictures there were still many photos left to find places for. There were also pages for our guests signatures in one of the albums. They were both lovely personalized memory books with my first initial on the left, the initial of our last name, and on the right my husbands first initial. The fabric on the book is very pretty, and with that and the satin ribbon on them, they really are quite charming. Fortunately, you can add pages to them if you have to, which of course we did.
I made sure that I had books to hold all my memories of every important event in my life so far. I’m sure as the years progress I’ll have even more keepsake memory books filling up my closet shelves. Right now, I have my bachelorette book, my wedding book and my baby shower books. I have a little girl that’s turning three next week and a little baby boy that is only one year old. My son has a blue book and my daughter has a pink one; we got the right colors because we found out what they’d be before they were born. Their first step and christening and so forth are in the books. The baby memory books have pictures, handprints, and birth certificates stored there, too. The shower and wedding albums contain one of the inviations that were sent out for each occasion as well. I have so many memories stored in our closet that I could probably start my own picture gallery.
In spite of my husband’s frequent grumbling, I will keep those albums in my closet, because they are mementos of days that were special to me. With the new video camera I just bought, it’s going to be a little different, because now I have to clear room on some shelves in the den for the videos I’ll be making. So now, with the albums we have and the ones we will probably have in the future and all the videos I plan to record, I’m probably going to need a lot more room than originally planned. Well, a person needs to be able to go back in time every now and then, that’s just a part of who I am. The years ahead with our children are memories I want to hang on to for the rest of my life, and I definitely intend to.

Keepsake Gifts Available!

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

I decided that the day I got married was going to be a memorable day for everyone that was close to me. The presents and favors I got everyone were things that could be treasured for a lifetime. I wanted to get them things that would help them recall how exceptional both our reception and wedding was. That’s why I started with keepsake gifts and worked my way down to a keepsake wedding gift. There were a lot of wedding items to choose from on the internet, with suggestions of very nice items for both ceremonies and receptions. All of the things that I needed for my reception were there
I had a florist come in and make up darling arrangements to put in the middle of each reception table, and alongside them were little ceramic pots with lace that held candles inside. My place card holders were adorable, and I got those on the web as well
The place card holders I decided on were beautiful beaded picture frames that the guests could all keep after the reception. I made up my mind that the people at my wedding woud get practical favors that, afterwards, would be wonderful wedding keepsake boxes. If you’re giving a present anyway, I’ve always felt that you might as well get something that they can make use of somehow. Those kind of party favors just end up in the trash or sitting in a drawer somewhere collecting dust. My loved ones were going to get something they’d genuinely appreciate, if I had anything to say about it. The first thing I picked out for everyone was a bistro coffee mug. They attractive and you can get good use out of them, too. I didn’t even have to worry about repackaging them because the containers they came in were so classy-looking already; all I did was put a decorative hang tag on every one of them.
Reception supplies and accessories were easy to find on the world wide web. One super item we picked out was our wedding cake topper. I wanted a cake topper that had some importance to us.
When we met for the first time, it was at a friends house and we were all engaged in a little friendly game of football on the back lawn. He tried a tackle that was, let’s just say, unforgettable, so I picked out a cake topper of a bride and groom with a football. This will be a cake topper that will be a keepsake for two reasons, one, the day we met and two, the day we married. [spin]I was really surprised that I had found such a novel wedding cake topper as this one was, and not only that, I also found gorgeous wedding

Delightful Keepsake Gifts

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

I wanted to have a wedding that was not only full of great memories for me, but for our friends and family as well. So when I when to pick out gifts, I picked out things that they could remember it by. I wanted to get them things that would help them recall how exceptional both our reception and wedding was. That’s why I started with keepsake gifts and worked my way down to a keepsake gift. There were plenty of plans and products available online for creating an enjoyable wedding day experience. I was able to find everything I needed for my wedding reception as far as accessories go.
My reception table centerpieces had flowers and scented candles surrounded by lace in a ceramic candle holder. I found those online along with the place card holders that were really exceptional too.
I found some precious little picture frames with beads around them that I could use for my place card holders. If figured that if I wanted the folks who attended my reception to have good affordable keepsake gifts, the best way to do it was by giving them practical favors. If you’re giving a present anyway, I’ve always felt that you might as well get something that they can make use of somehow. Otherwise, the recipient of the gift will most likely forget about it shortly after they get it. My loved ones were going to get something they’d genuinely appreciate, if I had anything to say about it. Since almost everyone drinks coffee or tea, I got all of the people at our reception a bistro coffee mug. They attractive and you can get good use out of them, too. I bought a bunch of pretty hang tags to put on the boxes they arrived in, but the containers were so nice-looking that I just kept them in the boxes they came in.
I found so much online that I could use for our wedding reception. The cake topper we got ‘took the cake,’ so to speak. I opted to pick out one that would be significant to my groom and I.
Playing football in a friend’s yard is what we were doing the first time we met. He tried a tackle that was, let’s just say, unforgettable, so I picked out a cake topper of a bride and groom with a football. This will be a cake topper that will be a keepsake for two reasons, one, the day we met and two, the day we married. Smashing Guest Book For Wedding Online!

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

Planning a wedding and reception can be a very hectic and exciting time, filled with so many options on what to choose for themes, decorations, etc. My daughter and I were planning her wedding day together and the hardest part of the whole thing was getting her to make up her mind. First she didn’t know if she wanted a themed wedding or if she would rather go with a traditional ceremony and reception. My poor daughter examined every option for the type of wedding she would have, and she was unable to select one that was right for her. For her special day, she thought about building the wedding around a lakeshore setting, and then she considered a wedding in an outdoor garden setting. Ultimately, our new bride opted to go with a pretty conventional wedding. When she eventually made that decision, it allowed us to get the preparations underway.
The invites had been delivered, the banquet hall for the reception was booked, and the church was rented out. The wardrobe for both the bride and the wedding party had been picked out already, so we were able to zero in on things that we’d need in order to put on the reception. In addition to finding a wedding guest book and a picture album, there were some other things that we had to pick out yet. There was no shortage of wedding guest book sets to pick from, and the decorations on a big percentage of them were absolutely beautiful. There were many gorgeous wedding pens to choose from too, that matched with many of the guestbooks. We still had a few items to find when my daughter ran across a six piece wedding set that had a solid white satin cover with satin bows and rhinestones. Together with a beautiful wedding garter and unity candle were an adorable flower basket and ring pillow. These satin items were together with a guest book for wedding. The price was so reasonable and the selection of wonderful choices was so wide that we were stunned. We also found the perfect wedding album with a place for special keepsakes and scrap-booking pages as well. Talk about a wonderful picture book to cherish your memories with.
Finally we were down to the cake topper, place card holders and wedding favors. All of the rest of it had been dealt with. A couple of doves formed out of glazed porcelain were what my daughter selected to put at the top of her wedding cake. The pair of doves will make an exquisite figurine that will help her memories of the wedding day last a lifetime. My girl picked out small, shiny silver picture frames to use as place card holders at the reception dinner. She thought it was neat to give the guests something they could actually use after the dinner. After looking at all of the items she selected for her ceremony and reception, I’d say she did a pretty good job of it. The extra cash she was able to hang on to by finding good deals is going to get spent when they go on the honeymoon.
It was a beautiful wedding, and the reception looked fantastic. My daughter and her new husband looked so wonderful as they danced their first dance as man and wife. We all did a lot of dancing that night, and I swear my feet still hurt, but it was all worth it, it was a wonderful event that I will remember forever. My own baby, now married, may have a baby of her own some day. Well, when that day comes, I know exactly where I’ll go to get the supplies and shower favors for the baby shower I’ll throw. That website has everything you need for just about any occasion you are planning for. That’s the first place I look to buy things for any party.

The Most Wonderful Store for Wedding Candles

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

There are tons of suggestions for great wedding favor gifts for the people invited to your wedding ceremony and party with you at your reception. You can choose from a variety of picture frame place card holders, whimsical little novelty gifts for beach themes and others, and many more selections of gifts. For our thank you gifts to our guests, we decided on candle wedding favors, because they’re not only beautiful, but they are practical too. With the decorative favor boxes I found online, I also wanted to attached personalized hang tags on each gift.
For each of our reception tables I ordered beautiful candles weddings, just for display. The candles, decorations, and the gorgeous flower arrangements for my centerpieces really looked fantastic together. You should see the fantastic candle wedding favor for bridal showers, and all the choices there are for candle party favors for graduations, birthdays and other important events. But there’s a lot more that candles and wedding favors at the place I shop at for wedding accessories.
I ordered my wedding guestbook and pen, flower girl basket and ring bearer pillow all together in one very inexpensive set, and they also included a beautiful leg garter to go with it. Buying it in a set was less expensive than buying each piece individually. That’s another thing I like about where I got our wedding supplies, the prices are so reasonable, and they even had discount candles wedding favors.
The cake topper we ordered was really unique and was worth a lot more than what it cost us. They made the wedding couple on our cake topper look exactly like us and it was the talk of the reception. They used head shots of me and my fiance to make the bride and groom figurines. The wedding cake itself was pretty magnificent too, with three tiers of chocolate perfection and gorgeous red and and pink flowers all around it. Next to our beautiful cake was the cake serving set I went crazy over, with it’s handles decorated in a gorgeous calla lily design.
We ordered special champagne flutes for our wedding table that saids ‘bride’ and ‘groom’ on them, and other crystal flutes for our guests, that they were also given to take home. We have no use for 200 champagne glasses, so why not let our friends and family have them as keepsakes? Besides, we were stocked with keepsakes from our wedding and reception, with our wedding guestbook, album, cake topper and more. One of the items in our five piece wedding set was the claret colored wedding guestbook with guest sign in pages, a place to list the gifts we received and a special spot for those little momentos. The guest book comes in handy for making out your thank you cards, and it’s nice to have a record of everyone that shared that day with you. You want to be able to mention the gift they gave you when writing out your thank you cards, it’s much more personal that way.
Some of our friends and family complimented me on my choice of unique candle wedding favors as their thank you gifts, and told me how much they liked them. I guess I picked out the right gifts. As we were leaving for our honeymoon, many of the guests wished us well and told us they had a great time at our reception. This was truly one of the most unforgettable days in my life.

Smashing Party Invitations

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

I made a list of everything I’d have to buy for my best friend’s bridal shower, and then once I had that, I got to work. The first priority was finding a party invitation. Now I’m one of those women that really doesn’t like shopping where I have to fight the crowds, or wait in line for price checks, so I decided to go online and see what I could come up with for the bridal shower. That was the right thing to do. I was really surprised to find so much and at such great prices. The price I paid on some things were almost criminal. The script on the party invitations was silver, and the edges were pearl; they looked exquisite. It wasn’t a place that specialized in bridal acessories, either; they had basic party invitations and party invitations, too, along with other things.
I found some darling place card holders for the party as well, among other things. Another item I picked out for the bride was a sign-in book for guests so that she could keep track of who gave her what gifts easily. There was also a cute idea for a place card holder that I really liked. Pink lilies adorned the place cards I picked out, and each guest received brightly-wrapped candies in a small plastic purse. Next to the other decorations and presents, they were a real eye-catcher. You should see all the cute litte favor boxes you can get for just about any ocassion you are planning on celebrating. I chose little floral patterned boxes which I stacked on a cake plate in layers and sat on the gift table. It looked very decorative like that and each lady just took a gift from the plate. I picked out a few kinckknacks as awards for winning the bridal shower activities we were going to play, and the thank you presents were sets that had everything you’d need to give a manicure. I found some random things to hand out as awards, such as unique key rings, little vanity mirrors, and special soaps.
I went online and got some great game ideas for the party too. If you want to see something humorous, try playing ‘Take It Off,” a game where you have to but a bag on your head and then, when the person running the game tells you to take off one piece of clothing, you have to take one off – and it’s astonishing how many women don’t have it come to mind that they ought to take off the bag. That is a funny experience you’ll never forget. We also played bridal bingo and a couple other funny games. Looking online saved me a ton of money and exposed me to a lot of options I, otherwise, wouldn’t have known anything about. The favors and invitations I bought were a bargain. I paid a fraction of what I had expected, I had lots of accessories to choose from and I didn’t have to go with inferior products. Since the website also sold wedding invitations and favors, I let my friend who was about to get married know about it, since I was sure she could use a wide selection to pick from. So, maybe ordering her accessories and reception supplies from here will help her out in the planning and the finances. I know it helped to make this bridal shower a success. The attendees all adored their presents and had a wonderful time. The people who took the time to go to the shower will all get thank you cards, which I’m working on now. Which, by the way, I also ordered online. With all the web has to offer, I’m helping my friend plan her sons’ birthday party.

Mikasa crystal glassware

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

The wedding I went to last week was all set up with gorgeous mikasa crystal accessories for all the reception tables. They had mikasa favors and mikasa crystal glassware on every reception table. What excellent taste the bride has in decorating a wedding and reception tables. The tables just shined with lustre and elegance with all the different mikasa accessories.
They had little silver doves as the place card holders, and on the end of their tails were little place cards with a bride and groom printed on them. The centerpieces she chose really helped to bring out the beauty of her reception tables. A beautiful floral arrangement was placed around pillar candles as the centerpieces. They gave out fantastic party favors for everyone at the reception. Each one of us received beautiful mikasa crystal wedding favors. The beautiful mikasa crystal was packaged in such lovely favor boxes with nice little thank you hang tags attached.
Their wedding cake was another spectacular sight to behold with five layers of luscious chocolate with chocolate cream cheese in between each layer. As the cake topper she had a really unique idea. She found a place online where she got most of her accessories and supplies that make customized cake toppers. They make figurines that look just like the bride and groom for the topper and all it takes is sending them a couple head shots of the happy couple. It looked just like them. My mom and dad are having a renewal ceremony for their anniversary, and I’d like to find out where she ordered that cake topper from so I could get one made for their reception party.
I think one of the funniest part of this whole thing was when it was time for the garter toss. All those single men gathered together with a growing excitement while they watched the groom remove the leg garter from his bride. As the garter flew through the air, they were all falling into each other as they tried desperately to grab it up. The funniest part though, is that the winner of the garter toss was a widower in his 70’s that didn’t even want to participate in the toss. The old guy walked away with a big smile on his face.
To toast the bride and groom we were given champagne flutes that had the bride and grooms name printed on them with the date of the wedding ceremony, and we got to take these home as keepsakes of the celebration. As soon as the toast was finished, the happy couple took to the dance floor for the traditional bride and grooms first dance. They made such an elegant couple as they danced across the dance floor. After their first dance was over, the dance floor was over run with couples. I think I over extended myself on the dance floor, my feet ached so badly.
Finally it was time for the bride and groom to depart for their honeymoon, and we all said our good byes. I found out from one of the other guests that they were going to Hawaii for their honeymoon. They’ll have a honeymoon to equal this fabulous wedding and reception. The rest of us partied until we couldn’t party no more.
It was only a couple of weeks later that I got my thank you card from the happy couple thanking me for sharing their wedding day with them and for the wedding gift I bought for them. She really got to these thank you’s quickly. By the way, I did find out how she could afford a mikasa wedding favor and that fantastic cake topper. So today, I’m placing my order for the special cake topper and other accessories for my parents special renewal ceremony and reception.

Groovy Jewelry Boxes

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

In my day, jewelry boxes were just a box that all the jewelry went in, but now, you can buy watch jewelry boxes, earring jewelry boxes and boxes that are specifically made for necklaces only. The boxes can be designed in a wide variety of ways. For her wedding day, my daughter got her bridesmaids jewelry boxes, and one for herself as well. In fact, she found even more than that when she went shopping online for all of her wedding accessories and reception supplies. All kinds of ideas are on there for weddings in a specific theme, or more standard, old-fashioned types of weddings. My daughter and son in law chose to have a fairy tale themed wedding, with all the trimmings. She really did look like Cinderella at the ball in her lovely wedding gown and long veil, and I must admit my son in law looked just as good as Prince Charming in his stunning tux. It was a picturesque wedding. They left the wedding chapel in style, with a man in a tall white hat and long tails on his coat driving them away in a horse drawn carriage.
The reception had small white lights to add with the tulle that was draped above and tall flower vases scattered all about the room. The tables at the reception had silvery sparkles and wonderful flower arrangements, and the bride and groom table sat in front of an arrangement of red and white roses with ivy strung along an arch. She picked out tea light place card holders in the shape of silver doves that made the tables shine even more. Flower and crystals adorned the small jewelry boxes that each lady at the wedding got as a gift. For the men in attendance, a key chain with a frog prince on it was given to them as a wedding favor. The cheap jewelry boxes for the bridesmaids had black velvet-lined interiors and were made of wood and sliver-plated. The date of the wedding and name of the happy couple were inscribed in the boxes. The bridesmaids were very appreciative of what my daughter gave them as a thank you gift. It was a box like I used to have, I had no idea it was a discount jewelry box, it was so expensive looking. The men each got a commemorative inscription in a small plaque and a set of wine related gifts. I thought that was pretty unique for a thank you gift.
A tiny castle sitting at the top of the three-tiered wedding cake lent the cake a mystical appearance. The cake knife set and champagne glasses meshed perfectly together with the cake. I couldn’t believe all the super accessories she got and it didn’t cost her anywhere near what I thought it would cost. As mother and father of the bride, we felt obligated to cover the cost of the wedding, but they were adamant about not accepting our assistance.
The first dance for the bride and groom was like something in a movie, and it was very emotional for me. It truly looked like something out of a fairytale, just like the ball in the Cinderella story. The guys got so rowdy trying to catch the garter, during the garter toss, that they had me laughing to no end. My daughter’s wedding day was as magical as she imagined it would be, and the whole thing was so special. Now they are on a honeymoon she’s always dreamed of. She promised to tell me all about the great places they went to while on their honeymoon, as soon as she gets home.
