Perfect Shop for Groomsmen Gift Ideas!

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

After being told about a website that had reasonable prices and a super selection of accessories for both wedding ceremonies and receptions, I decided to take a look for myself. It’s true, reasonable prices and many accessories to choose from starting with wedding invitations right down to wedding favor gifts. Along with all the super wedding accessories they also carry groomsmen gifts and bridesmaids gifts. Of course, my wedding décor and the supplies I would need, I intended to buy there.
Since we had planned our wedding date to be in December, I wanted to have a winter wonderland wedding and reception and this was the perfect place to get what I needed for it. First I ordered winter wonderland wedding bulletins to use as our wedding invitations. While I was browsing through the flower basket and ring pillow selection, I discovered a great deal on a five piece set with a wedding guest book and pen, wedding garter and the flower girl basket and ring pillow. I thought it would cost a lot more than it did for the matching five piece set. I was reading up on wedding ceremonies and that since throwing petals as the bride and groom leave the church may not be exceptable in many churches and couples are substituting bubbles in place of petals. So I ordered bottles of bubbles from this online shopping site I’m using and they also send you little bubble cards for each bottle.
You’d be surprised at the marvelous accessories I bought from there. I was able to find gifts for not only my bridesmaids, flower girl and ring boy, but for everyone in our wedding party. My fiance found quite a few gift ideas for groomsmen gift ideas.
He got each of them a mug as their groomsman favors, with the word groomsman printed on it. We could cross off the list of things to buy as far as a cheap groomsman gift, my bridesmaids and the rest of the wedding party, so I could now choose thank you gifts for the guests. There were so many wonderful gift ideas for a winter wedding to give to our guests. As thank you gifts, I chose glass votive candles with a frosty winter theme, for all of our guests. The glass candles had wintery snowflakes all over it. Every candle was packaged in a decorative favor box with a silver hang tag on them.
The place card holders I chose were beautiful little snow ornaments that the guests can take home as a little momento. They had it all, winter themed champagne glasses and serving set and a funny winter wedding cake topper too. I asked the baker to turn our top layer of the wedding cake into a ski slope, since the topper I picked was of a bride and groom on skis. Our wedding cake was confection perfection and I wanted as many pictures of it as I could get for our beautiful winter wedding album. We cut our cake and shared the first piece, then my brother in law gave a little speech as he toasted to the bride and groom, and then it was time for us to have our first dance of the evening. This was like a dream come true, dancing around the room with my new husband as everyone watched.
This reception was perfect, from the beginning to the end and all of our guests truly seemed to be enjoying themselves. All of my girls in the wedding party loved their thank you gifts as did the guys and their wedding groomsmen gifts. We also got quite a few compliments from our wedding guests about the decorations and the lovely wedding favors they received.

Choosing a Bride Gifts!

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

The bachelor party, the girls night out party, and engagement parties, all have one thing in common, the favors and gifts. You can get the future husband or wife a gift chosen from a lot of different options at these gatherings. A number of the gifts my husband and I got were rather remarkable. Some of the things we got were quite innovative, while most of the people at our engagement party just gave us cash, which was alright with us, every little bit helps when you are just started out. We were given movie and dinner certificates, a bottle of champagne we could use for our wedding toast, two tickets to a Reds game, that we really enjoyed, and little things like that. Even though you don’t have to bear gifts at an engagement party, many of our friends and family did anyway.
My man’s bachelor party must have been fun because he got some funny tee shirts that they made him wear with funny little phrases printed on the front. He also received as a groom wedding gift, a groom sun visor, a mug with the word groom printed on it and a wine gift set. He came home from the party with an inflatable doll and a ball and chain that he said they made him wear the whole time the party was going on. There were a few other gag bride and groom wedding gifts too that the guys had a lot of fun presenting to him. My girls night out party was fantastic too and I got a lot of gag gifts, but also quite a few nice bride gifts too. They gave me a shimmering white satin purse with a clasp made of crystal on it and a ribbon on top to boot. Inside the bag they had put little gifts like a manicure set, a girls night out tee shirt, a bride to be brooch and a few little necessities a girl likes to have with her. I loved this pillow they gave me which had the word ‘tonight’ embroidered on a side, and then you turned it over and it read ‘not tonight’. What a crazy present that was, and I know I’ll have a lot of fun using that .
We didn’t get any joke bride and groom wedding gifts on our wedding day. We thought we might get some duplicate gifts, and we did, like a few blenders and a couple more toaster ovens than we really need, but that’s to be expected at such a large ceremony. I was fortunate enough to receive a certain food processor and some fine china that I had requested on my bridal registry. My mother- and father-in-law gave us a bar side set and a pool table, and my husband thought it was absolutely wonderful, and has already planned a get together with the guys. The plane tickets to get to the Greek Isles for our honeymoon came from my folks. Our family and other loved ones really gave us some outstanding wedding presents.
They are what helped to make our day so special, just being there to share it with us, meant the world to both of us. We were able to spend our engagement party, wedding, and reception with them, and we are so glad about that. It’s good to know you have so many people that care this much about you and are there for you during the good times and the bad. It’s also great to have such wild and crazy friends in the mix to throw you such fantastic girls night out parties and bachelor parties. With friends like that around, your life will be anything but boring. Thank you notes could never begin to express how much we appreciate their love and support.

Nice duck shower favors

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

I associated babies with childhood, and I associate childhood with Ernie singing ‘Rubber Duckie You’re the One’ on Sesame Street. It seemed like a longshot, but I checked to see if there were any duck shower favors available anyway, and I was pleasantly surprised. They are really so cute and it was a lot better than I thought it would be with all the online shopping help I got for ideas. You can can a ton of different duck favors online, not just for showers but for birthday parties for younger kids as well.
The den in my basement was big enough to hold everyone, so I put tables down there with seating for four people. I put baby shower gifts in one corner, and then at the opposite end of the den was a table with appetizers, drinks, deserts, and a layered cake in the form of a rubber ducky and the words baby girl written on it. Each had a poster or two of Mickey Mouse or one of his friends; the ones of Daffy Duck and Daisy Duck were enormous.
At each table were little pink picture frames that I used as place card holders and each frame came with a baby duck in the corner. The punch bowl had ducks painted all over it, as did the plates, napkins, glasses, and favor candles that each guest received as a gift. I bought a bathtub for an infant that was in the form of a duck at a local retail place, and I put the punch bowl inside of it. It was really kind of cute. I got some duck-shaped jello molds, and I put yellow water in them and froze them so that our ice cubes for the shower looked like little yellow ducklings. I took my duck idea to great extremes.
Other than a few things that people at school suggested to me, I borrowed most of my ideas from things I saw online. I got a duck favor that was a candle holder, and some duck shower favors that were rubber ducky bookmarks. We used them as prizes for the contests we had at the baby shower, and all of the guests adored them.
I put some rubber duckies in a large, square-shaped, makeshift tub that I filled with water before anyone got to the shower yet. On the bottom of the ducks I wrote numbers and as the guests arrived they each had to pick a duck out of the little pond. A couple of hours into the shower, I picked a number out of a jar, and the person with that numbered duck received an award. We had a lot of fun with the guess the baby picture game, too. I hung a baby photo of every guest who brought their baby picture along on a bulletin board. Each guest got a chance to check out the board and see how many pictures they were able to match up with the faces of the other guests. The winner was the person who guessed right on the most of them, and they were awarded a shower favor.
The new mom had a bounty of awsome gifts for her baby, and good times were had by all. I’m very happy with the amount of help I got from going on the Internet. I pulled off one heck of a baby shower, even though it seemed pretty far-fetched at first. The idea of centering it around ducks made for an absolutely adorable theme.

Extraordinary 8 Hour Energy Shot

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

In a time where Americans will drive the extra mile if it means they’ll spend less on gas, there’s a flourishing new type of energy drink that costs 20 times as much per ounce as Coca Cola – the energy shot.

More and more people are turning away from $3 cups of coffee, and picking up these $3 2-ounce energy shots – and most of them taste disgusting.

The demand for energy shots is expected to double this year, reaching $700 mil in sales – and a majority of those sales will be of Living Essentials’ 5 Hour Energy drink, the first energy shot on the market.

Several companies are already following in 5 Hour’s footsteps – energy shots such as 6 Hour Power, Fuel 7 Hour, and 8 Hour Energy are all attempting to tap into this new industry.

Though it sounds similar, 8 Hour Energy has raised the bar a little higher for the competition. Aside from caffeine, it includes Acai, Gogi, and Tahitian Noni – three popular berries known for their dietary and energizing properties. Currently, the only other way to get a serving of Acai berry is to purchase a $40 bottle.

Aside from the health-benefits, 8 Hour Energy has zero carbs or calories, and it tastes good!

“I’ve seen the 5 Hour ads plastered all over the media. But if people read the labels before they buy, I think they’ll go for 8 Hour Energy. It’s just a better quality product,” says Darin Steen, one of the top ranked health and fitness instructors in the world.

In a blind test conducted at the University of Florida, 9 out of 10 students preferred the 8 Hour shot over 5 Hour Energy. Another study gave out samples of the Mr Energy 8 Hour shot during finals week, and students returned with rave reviews.

“Wow… after taking the 8 Hour Energy, not only was I able to stay up to study for finals, I picked up a basketball game after! Without it, I probably wouldn’t have managed to do either,” laughed Troy Smith, a senior majoring in Finance.

“Mr Energy 8 Hour Energy shots are amazing. I stayed energized and focused, and totally aced my final. It’s like time in a bottle,” said Stephanie Wilcox – a student at the UF College of Dentistry.

Despite 5 Hour Energy’s 60 million dollar advertising budget, Bhelliom Enterprises, 8 Hour Energy’s developer, believes their superior product needs only word-of-mouth to prevail. “The ingredients speak for themselves,” says Bhelliom Enterprises’ CEO, Casey McCarthy.
