I decided to go online and get some expert advice on how to plan the perfect outdoor wedding. I found out you need to have a plan B, in case inclement weather unexpectly arises. It’s a good idea to have a tent ready to continue your ceremony if it becomes necessary.

We had canopies arranged for our reception and barring bad weather, planned to be wed under a lovely trellis. I mainly concentrated on the decorations for our wedding table and the reception tables. With the park as our main theme, I basically had to make sure I had our table settings and maybe throw in a few extra bouquets of flowers. I thought artificial flowers would be best, since we didn’t want a bee invasion ruining our ceremony. You couldn’t tell they were artificial they were so beautiful,they looked like the real deal. Planning this wedding wasn’t all that hard, but there was a little more than I expected. Like, making sure there were citronella candles all around, rest rooms close by and making sure our cake was kept cool until ready to be cut.

As far as table décor, I found so many fantastic accessories for our reception. I had little park bench place card holders at each table setting, and little citronella votive candles in glass globes with a nice flower arrangement as our centerpieces. The chrome bottle openers we bought for our guests were packaged in beautiful favors boxes and given out as a summer wedding invitation. One of the most decorative things on our wedding table was our gorgeous wedding cake with the beautiful cake topper I ordered.

I found it while browsing online for my other wedding accessories, and fell in love with it. They do customizing for the bride and groom. They put our faces on our cake topper, and all I had to do was send them a photo of me and my fiance. What a wonderful momento of our wedding day. All of our guests were so impressed with our topper, they couldn’t stop talking about it. It was the perfect wedding and reception, just like I had hoped for. Thank goodness the weather stayed perfect throughout the entire ceremony and reception and we never had to put plan B into action. We had a wonderful DJ that I’m sure, kept the music going long after we left for our honeymoon. Everyone commented on what a lovely ceremony and super reception we had. The park turned out to be the perfect place to have our wedding and reception. If we celebrate one of our anniversaries with a wedding renewal, I want to have it in a gorgeous park again.
