What could be more romantic than a ceremony held in the month of Februrary? Putting the symbol of love all around our wedding day struck me as a wonderful way to celebrate marriage. The first thing I bought was a gorgeous bridal tiara that I picked out over the Internet. In fact I found quite a few super accessories like invitations that are perfect for the love theme I wanted. I mailed out small cards that had two silver-colored hearts on the front of them for our invitations. The only thing I really had to do was write in the information, like the place and the date, and the rest was already filled out in beautiful calligraphy when we got them.
When the invitations were completed, I had to go forward with putting together the exact products that I would use. I bought large scarlet bows made of velvet to put on the church pews with a ribbon that would run from one pew to the next. The unity candle we used had a design of tiny roses put together to form a heart shape on the front of it, and the rest of the candle decorations made the altar look exquisite. There were also red and pink roses to help with the décor of the wedding site and red and white roses in my bridal bouquet. We had doves let out of cages as my groom and I departed from the church building, and it was one extra touch that I thought was just majestic.
The wedding apparel that would be worn by those who were going to be in the wedding had already been selected. I picked out a white satin basket that had bows and lace decorating it for our flower girl. There was a white double hearts wedding themed pillow with a pair of gold hearts on it that we got for our ring boy to use, along with a white ribbon made of satin for the rings. I had a mini tiara for the flower girl to wear in her hair that looked very much like the one I ordered for myself. With her lovely pink flower girl skirt and her crown, I felt that she could have passed for a princess, especially when she did such a graceful job in the wedding. The ring boy was just as cute in his small tuxedo and red boutonniere, and he did his task just as well. He carried the ring pillow like a pro and kept in step with the rest of the wedding party. I was very glad that I chose to include both of them.
Our reception tables all had exquisite centerpieces, and floating candles for a glowing romantic ambiance. Our place card holders were little silver hearts on a stand with adorable little hearts wedding cards with the name of each guest printed on. They were almost as gorgeous as the heart favor gifts we had for them. The gifts also added to the décor of our reception tables with all the shine of crystal. That and the crystal glassware, china and candles really made a heart weddings picture, fit for a bridal magazine cover.
Our entire wedding day called to mind love and Valentine’s Day, filled with flowers and hearts galore. Thank goodness for the world wide web, which certainly saved me a ton of time and hassle.
